Enjoy three exciting days exploring Masai Mara National Reserve — famous for its wildlife, endless plains and dramatic predator action. This short safari gives you the thrill of early-morning and late-afternoon game drives, chances to see the Big Five, and if you travel between July and October, you may witness the unforgettable Great Wildebeest Migration. Travel as a group of six to enjoy reduced per-person costs across budget, mid-range and luxury options.

Best Time to Travel

  • July to October — Best season for the Great Migration and river crossings.
  • January to March — Excellent wildlife viewing with fewer visitors.
  • November to December — Beautiful green landscapes with good game viewing and calmer crowds.
  • April to June — Rainy but great for low-cost travel and lush scenery.

Safari Highlight

  • Morning and afternoon game drives
  • Big Five viewing opportunities
  • Chance to see the Great Migration (seasonal)
  • Beautiful sunsets and dramatic savannah views
  • Comfortable lodge or camp stays depending on your chosen category

Day 1: Drive to Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

Start your journey early in the morning and head toward the Masai Mara. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes, rolling highlands and viewpoints where you can enjoy sweeping valley views.
Arrive at your camp or lodge in time for lunch. After settling in, head out for your first game drive. The plains open up with zebras, giraffes, antelopes and sometimes predators resting under acacia trees. As the light softens toward evening, the landscapes become golden and perfect for photos.
Return to camp for dinner and a calm night listening to the sounds of the bush.

Accommodation Options:

Budget: Miti Mingi Eco Camp / Rhino Tourist Camp
Mid-range: Enkorok Mara Camp / Mara Sopa Lodge
Luxury: Sarova Mara Game Camp / Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Meal Plan: Lunch + Dinner

Day 2: Full-Day Game Viewing in Masai Mara

Start before sunrise for a morning game drive when animals are most active. This is the best time to spot lions, hyenas and other predators still on the move after a night of hunting.
Return to your camp for breakfast or enjoy a bush breakfast depending on your lodge.
Relax during late morning, then head out again after lunch. Explore deeper parts of the reserve and, if it’s migration season, visit river areas where massive herds gather and cross. Even outside migration months, the Mara is full of elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos and many bird species.
Head back to your lodge or camp for dinner and a restful evening.

Accommodation Options:

Budget: Miti Mingi Eco Camp / Rhino Tourist Camp
Mid-range: Enkorok Mara Camp / Mara Sopa Lodge
Luxury: Sarova Mara Game Camp / Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi

Enjoy a final early-morning game drive to catch any wildlife you might have missed. The soft morning light makes this drive especially beautiful.
Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and begin the drive back to Nairobi. Expect to arrive in the afternoon with great memories and photos from your safari.
