Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli & Afternoon Game Drive
Start early and drive toward Amboseli National Park. The landscape shifts to open plains dotted with acacia trees, and as you approach the park you may see the towering outline of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and a short break.
In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive. Amboseli is known for huge elephant herds, grazing zebras, wildebeests and striking views when the mountain reveals itself. You return to your lodge for dinner, with the open skies providing a peaceful evening mood.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive in Amboseli & Transfer to Lake Nakuru
Begin the day with a sunrise game drive — the best time to enjoy the soft light over the wetlands and spot elephants wading through shallow pools. Predators may still be active and birdlife fills the air.
Return for breakfast, then drive toward Lake Nakuru through changing landscapes, busy towns and beautiful highlands. Arrive at your lodge or camp by afternoon for lunch. Rest or enjoy a short walk around the lodge before settling in for the evening.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Masai Mara
After breakfast, head for a game drive inside Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is known for rhinos, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, lions and a variety of bird species. Depending on the season, you may see flamingos colouring the lake’s shoreline.
After the game drive, begin your journey toward Masai Mara. The road passes through hills and farmlands with stunning views. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the Mara in time for evening relaxation, followed by a delicious dinner.

Day 4: Full Day in Masai Mara — Sunrise & Afternoon Game Drives
Start your morning early with a sunrise game drive across the wide Mara plains. The fresh morning air brings out predators finishing their night movements and grazers waking up to feed.
Return for breakfast, relax at camp, then after lunch go back out for another game drive. Explore different areas of the reserve, watch for lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos and large herds of wildebeest or zebras. If visiting during migration months, you might catch massive herds crossing the plains or approaching the rivers.
Dinner awaits you back at camp as night settles over the savannah.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi

Only if you travel between July and October while visiting Masai Mara. Outside this period, the Mara still has excellent game viewing.
3. Is 5 days enough?

5. Does rainy season affect the safari?
