Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Scenic Drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park

You arrive in Kigali and take a scenic southwestern drive toward Nyungwe Forest. The drive passes through green hills, lively roadside markets and endless tea plantations. As you get closer to the forest, the cool mountain air and lush vegetation set the mood for the adventures ahead. You check in at your lodge tucked in Rwanda’s rainforest region and enjoy a calm evening.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Afternoon Nature Walk

You start early, heading into Nyungwe Forest for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. The forest is alive with bird calls, rustling leaves and sweeping mist. When you find the chimps, their lively movements and loud calls create a thrilling moment as you watch them feed, play and interact.
Later in the afternoon, you enjoy a guided nature walk, exploring different trails rich with flowers, birds and monkeys.

Day 3: Nyungwe Canopy Walk and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
