DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli + Afternoon Game Drive

Start early from Nairobi and drive toward Amboseli. On arrival you’ll settle into your lodge or camp, grab lunch, and then head out for your first safari ride. Watch vast plains come alive with elephants, zebras, antelopes — all beneath the towering silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro if the skies clear. As sunset spills golden light across the landscape, enjoy the quiet of the wild before returning for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Morning Drive in Amboseli + Travel to Lake Naivasha

Rise before dawn for a soft-light safari drive — early morning gives best chances to spot elephants, giraffes and other wildlife while birds stir in the wetlands. After breakfast you check out and drive toward Lake Naivasha, crossing scenic highlands and Rift Valley slopes. Arrive by lunch and take a relaxing afternoon — maybe enjoy a boat ride on the lake or a gentle walk where hippos and waterbirds dwell. Evening brings a calm lakeside sunset and dinner under open skies.

  • Budget: Taphe Guest Resort / Dovenest Lodge

  • Mid-range: Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp / Naivasha Sopa Lodge

  • Luxury: Enashipai Resort & Spa / Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge

Day 3: Lake Naivasha Nature & Travel to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, you get another opportunity to enjoy nature — morning bird calls, shimmering lake waters, maybe hippos grazing near the shore. Relax a bit, then depart for Lake Nakuru. You’ll traverse farmland and rift valley woodlands before reaching the lake zone by midday. After check-in and lunch, head out for a safari ride among acacias and lake-edge plains. At Lake Nakuru you may spot rhinos, buffaloes, waterbuck and a variety of birds, maybe even flamingos depending on water levels. Finish the evening with a hearty dinner and peaceful night under stars.

  • Budget: Local guesthouse / Budget cottages near Nakuru

  • Mid-range: Flamingo Hill Tented Camp / Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge

  • Luxury: Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge / Lake Nakuru Lodge

Day 4: Morning Drive in Lake Nakuru + Travel to Masai Mara & First Mara Drive

Wake up early for a morning safari at Lake Nakuru — rhinos, graceful antelopes and rich birdlife offer a serene wildlife experience. After breakfast, depart for Masai Mara via scenic countryside and highland roads. Arrive at your Mara lodge or camp by afternoon. After a short rest and lunch, venture out on your first Masai Mara drive — open grasslands, grazing herds, and possible glimpses of predators resting or beginning their hunt. Return at dusk for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara — Morning & Afternoon Game Drives

Start before dawn for a powerful morning drive. In the cooler hours wildlife is active — watch for lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, big herds of wildebeest and zebra. After a strong breakfast, take a break at the camp, enjoy the surroundings, or simply unwind. Post-lunch you return to the plains for an afternoon drive exploring deeper parts of the reserve. If traveling during migration months, you might see large herds moving together, predator activity and amazing natural drama. Evening brings a peaceful lodge dinner.

Accommodation Options: Same as Day 4
Meal Plan: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 6: Another Full Mara Day — Optional Cultural Visit + Game Drive

Start with a morning safari drive — the grasslands often come alive with movement, bird songs and predator calls. After breakfast, you have the option of a short visit to a local village (if available) to learn about local culture and traditions. Or you can relax at the lodge while enjoying the views. After lunch, head out for another memorable game drive, giving you more chances to observe wildlife that you might have missed or want to study longer. Return for dinner and enjoy your last night in the Mara under the stars.

Accommodation Options: Same as Day 4–5
Meal Plan: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 7: Final Sunrise Drive & Return to Nairobi
