Best Time to Travel

The best time depends on which migration event you want to follow:

  • December – March: Calving season in Ndutu (thousands of newborns, intense predator action)
  • April – June: Western Corridor movement and Grumeti River areas
  • July – October: Mara River crossings in Northern Serengeti (most dramatic period)
  • November: Early herds returning to Southern Serengeti.

For year-round wildlife viewing, the entire circuit remains excellent.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive in Arusha and meet your safari guide. Transfer to your lodge for a relaxing evening. Enjoy stunning views of Mount Meru as you settle in.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire, famous for its giant baobabs and large elephant herds. Explore the park’s river valleys where buffalo, zebras, giraffes, lions, and antelope gather. Spend the day enjoying rich wildlife viewing before heading to your lodge.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park (Central)
